Social media used by presidential hopefuls to retain millennial vote

Each presidential candidate is using social media as part of their strategy to gain the vote of young votersWriter Michelle Marchante interviews four politically involved South Florida millennial’s to discover how effectively Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Libertarian Party Gary Johnson, Green Party Jill Stein and Republican Donald Trump are utilizing social media this election cycle.

While their choice for president differs, they agree that Twitter and Facebook are the best way to stay connected to the campaigns. They also agree that while social media is great for spreading awareness, it’s less to get votes than to keep supporters from straying.
