Former Fox News political commentator Bill O’Reilly will be returning Monday, April 24, to the digital airwaves with a new episode of his “No Spin News” podcast.
The podcast will be free for all users on his personal website, billoreilly.com, from Monday, April 24 to Thursday, April 27 and will then be available only to the website’s premium subscribers. This will be his first time publicly speaking since he left Fox News Wednesday, April 19, following an investigation over alleged sexual harassment.
O’Reilly, for the past 20 years, dominated the cable news industry as the top-rated host in cable news with his show “The O’Reilly Factor.” But 21st Century Fox faced pressure after The New York Times reported on April 1 that Fox or O’Reilly had paid about $13 million to settle five cases against him over alleged sexual harassment or other inappropriate behavior.
Nearly 60 companies, according to CNN, pulled their ads from their time slots during “The O’Reilly Factor,” but according to the Washington Post, O’Reilly’s show saw a 12 percent bump of viewership from the week before and a 28 percent bump when compared to the same week from 2016, with more than 3.71 million people tuning into the show.
O’Reilly’s podcast is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. ET and starting Monday night, Tucker Carlson’s show will air an hour earlier during O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. ET time slot on Fox.
